Transition Lyons: Honoring Our Elders

On March 31st, Transition Lyons hosted an event at the Walter Self Senior Housing Center. This gathering was an opportunity for Town Elders to describe their experience living in Lyons and their vision for the future of the Town.  Using Transition Lyons' Open Space meeting format, groups were formed that discussed topics like coordinating volunteers to help within the community and using sustainable and local agriculture.  One group mapped the parts of Lyons that are special to them.

This was a great chance to hear opinions and thoughts of honored members of the community.  Their comments will be incorporated into the public input process of the I'm In Lyons Comprehensive Plan Update process.
